Happy First Day of Fall- 3 No Effort Outfits for Fall
Happy First Day of Fall! I feel like I’v said this over and over again but I honestly cannot believe it’s the end of September. This year has felt like its inched and flown by all at the same time. I love Fall. It’s my favorite type of fashion and there is just something nostalgic about the crispness in the air that I’ll never be able to shake. It reminds me of cheering at football games growing up, going back to school shopping for the new season, and all of the Fall goodies you get to experience like fresh baked apple pie and pumpkin bread.
While my Fall shopping list has looks a lot different these days, I’m doing everything in my power to make the “new normal” just as chic and timeless as seasons passed. I think everyone’s wardrobe is now geared toward being comfortable with minimal effort but still feeling put together.
I thought that it would be helpful to share some Fall outfit inspo with you guys that require zero pants because let’s be honest none of us have worn real pants all year with the exception of a handful of times (biker shorts do not count!) .
Oversized Sweatshirt & Blazer: Let’s start with my outfit- I love an oversized cozy sweatshirt situation especially during the Fall months and thought the combo of the sweatshirt paired with this houndstooth blazer felt very back to school but in an adult way. I love the edge that my OTK snakeskin boots bring to the entire look. Class is back in session and you get to make your own rules! Have fun with it. I could also pair this sweatshirt with some biker shorts and sneaks for a causal day of running errands.
White Button-Down T-Shirt Dress & OTK Boots: Ya’ll know I stan for a good basic and the white oversized t-shirt dress is different an essential you’ll want to add to your closet this fall. It’s such an easy and light weight piece that you can layer with a trench coat, or any blazer as well! I love staple pieces that also have intricate, statement detail to level them up a little bit more like the sleeves on the look shown above. Pair this piece with a pair of long/short boots and even sneakers and you’re all set! And again…no pants. I know you love to see it.
Oversized Knit Vest: I’ve been seeing the oversized knit vest a lot in different collections from retailers this Fall. It feels preppy but is also an ode to menswear which I kind of love. This is a piece that would also fall under the essentials list and can be easily layered overtop the white button-down t-shirt dress I mentioned above. I love this look paired with the lug ankle boots- it’s sporty but also feels very cool, NYC-girl if I do say so myself.
I hope that these looks inspire you to try something new & add a piece to your wardrobe that will stand the test of time!
xoxo,
Shaunie
