On the Fringe

I’ve fully been in the mindset of buying for/transitioning my wardrobe for Spring however I still have a couple of Winter pieces I want to share with you guys. While I was in New York a couple of months ago I saw this fringe jacket at Zara. It was definitely love at first sight but I needed a moment to process it and how often I really saw myself wearing a piece like this.

I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been all about buying pieces I know will stand the test of time, and while this fringe jacket isn’t the most basic it’s a showstopper that I am going to hang onto for obvious reasons. It’s every bit of extra and I am here for it. This is a piece that I can see my children and grandchildren pull out of the archives and classify as vintage years down the road. Easily worn as a jacket to throw over a simple graphic tee or to be worn as a button down all on its on-the options are endless.

I think it’s important to have standout pieces in your closet for various occasions. You just never know when you’ll want to reach for something unique.

So, while this jacket may be getting tucked away very soon in preparation for warmer temps, I cannot wait to pull it out next year.

xoxo,

Shaunie
