Borrowed from the Boys: 6 Menswear Trends to Try this Fall
There is no denying that all things oversized and comfortable are having a moment right now for obvious reasons. But, I have to say I think the Menswear trend is here to stay for awhile. I wanted to share a couple of my favorite trends I’ve been seeing.
Oversized Blazer: Ya’ll know a love a good blazer and I absolutely love the oversized take on it just as much. I thrifted this one recently and the color really caught my eye. It’s a beautiful deep forest green which screams Fall. I decided to turn it into an oversized blazer dress and love how it pairs back to my favorite OTK snakeskin boots.
Dad Sneakers: The dad sneaker started its debut last Fall and we are fully onboard this year. There are so many fun iterations but I personally love an all-white and neutral color combo to pair back to denim and dresses. Also- the comfort of wearing a sneaker with pretty much anything is the best ever.
Oversized Sweater Vest: I still have yet to purchase an oversized sweater vest but its on my list! H&M has one which I have linked below- I’m definitely about to add to cart. I love that this clothing statement speaks to both preppy and menswear and I love that you can wear this fit with no pants…doesn’t get much better than that.
Men’s Suiting: Men’s suiting is such a classic and I love that a matching suit has the capability to be separates and pair back to other pieces. A men’s oversized suit pant paired back to a graphic tee is such a fun look or even an oversized men’s blazer paired with a more fitted basic tee and a 90’s pair of denim is such a cool girl look as well.
Oversized Plaids: my mantra for Fall is the more plaid the better…it’s just such a staple Fall print and I’ve been seeing a lot of the oversized plaid flannel and LOTS of the plaid shacket…I just bought one from H&M a couple weeks ago and it’s so cozy and chic. I’m so ready for the temps to really get cool so I can pull it out and style it.
Oversized Matching Sweats Set: I’m all about an oversized matching sweats set even now more than ever. They are so easy, comfortable and would look so chic with a beanie and oversized coat for a signature effortless street style look.
